That is until he receives a game recommendation by a random fan that starts out as a normal run of the mill horror game and soon transforms into something way more threatening. Soon his friends and family start appearing in the game things in the real world shift mysteriously mirroring those in the artificial, and the game keeps providing a persistent pop up asking for him to rate his experience.
A gamer's main reassurance is no matter how terrifying or off a game is, as soon as they log out it's over-confined to a screen.
