Sophie is mother of Ruby, a problematic teenager, and they are fighting all day for everything, although they have their mother-daughter sweet moments. When Ruby gets in love of her best friend she has even more trouble with things and her relationship with her mother changes, they start to be cold with each other and they barely talk which makes Sophie sad and she thinks it may be because of her divorce, because Ruby has never had that mental decline every child has, so Sophie thinks it has come. When Sophie tries to talk about it with Ruby she suddenly realizes she can't have the sustain of her mother and that she will never be able to talk with her mother because she doesn't understand. When Ruby and Christian (Ruby's best friend) finally clear things up Ruby looses her "long preserved (like her friends tell her) virginity". Sophie discovers and discovers also all other Ruby's "crimes" and Sophie can't stand living with all that knowledge and being neutral with Ruby that she tells her and brings her to live to her father's house. But Sophie and Ruby understand what they have done wrong and say sorry, but will it be too late?
