A Marriage Law has been put in effect for witches and wizards ages 17-35. In order to preserve magical blood you are ordered to be married within three months and a child is to be brought forth within the next year. Relationships will be torn apart; Love will be manipulated.

All Hermione wanted to do was to return to Hogwarts and finish her education with a bang as Head Girl. After that, she had her whole life sorted out. She would work things out with Ron, work at the ministry, and become Minister for Magic one day. The universe, as usual, had other plans. Ministry of Magic decree 47207572; The Marriage Law ~All subjects have 4 months to get married and then 5 months after that to get pregnant. ~Tests have been done on all subjects between the ages of 17 and 27. ~All subjects have been matched with other Wizards/ Witches or muggle families that know of the wizarding world ~Most subjects are paired by who they will be most successful reproducing with. Minor setbacks and medical problems have occurred ~Several subjects have no ability to reproduce and have therefore been taken out of the running for the law - letters already sent out to notify subjects ~Several subjects also still suffer from the after effects of the war, some crippling the subjects enough so their sent to St. Mungos or are hospitalized permanently for said injuries ~One particular pair of subjects have been previously married and now are separated but not divorced, still waiting for the decision on that matter. Media problems could occur if we follow through with the divorce and word gets out, and yet the same thing could be said if we keep the subjects together Three month overview for subject 3A47-D36 Hermione Granger-Weasley has shown extreme anger over her partner for this law, no attempts have been made to reproduce. Both subjects have gotten physically injured fighting with each other, to the point where Mrs Granger-Weasley was hospitalized. No wedding has been consummated to my knowledge. There was another page which read: Decree for the marriage law. Note: The newly wed couple has to follow these decrees in order to complete the marriage law. The pair in question has to get married in 15 days from receiving the letter. III. The newly wed bride is expected to get pregnant in a year after the marriage is consummated. IV. As per the marriage law, the couple has to consummate their marriage only after the said couple falls in love. V. If the said couple fails to do so then they will face the consequences. VI. The couple has been prohibited from using any contraception.
