My name is Carmen De Beaufort. A name many vampires shudder at the thought of. I belong to the long line of Beaufort vampires whom the vampire species originated from. My existence has lasted for over five century's, but for the past nineteen years I was unaware of who I really was. I had been captured and my memory erased by a powerful clan of witches. Since I came from the original family I could not be killed and the only way to keep me from bringing more destruction to the world was if I was human. The witches created a spell that would turn me back into a newborn baby, but this cost them their lives. The spell drained them of their life force.
