It was January 12, 2020, the day I turned sixteen. Once a citizen becomes 16, you have to take the simulation test. I went through horrors unimaginable. Once the my test was finished, the nightmare still lived. I was sent to prison, and was claimed to be a Medtrix. A Medtrix is a person with super human abilities. A natural born fighter. I am weak, short, and skinny. I cannot live up to the Medtrixes' expectations. And to top it off, a gorgeous boy named Flow is a huge distraction. But it get's worse. There's war going on between the Conspiracy and the Government, and they want the Medtrixes to fight in it. The training will become more rigurous. I don't know which side I'm on, and so that leads to one solution: escape. But will it be that easy?

Think you have it rough? Try coming home from school and finding out your father is dead, your foster sister and niece are interplanetary aliens, and so are you. So, it explains why you can change shape and talk to animals, but so can your twin brother, a feline who can fly, who you didn't know you had until he comes to take you to your birth planet so you can be heroes. Then find out that you are actually 100 years old, not 18, and the subject of an even older prophesy. Takes the "Merry" right out of Christmas break. So thinks Nikki Jessop, high school zero, who reluctantly turns into a hero of the Two Planets.
