Quinn Avery enters her sixth year at Hogwarts believing her biggest problems will be her NEWT classes and her older sisters arranged marriage set for the end of the school year, but soon learns that the upcoming war will pose many more challenges. She slowly realises the direction her family is leading her in, and starts to break away from their mould in hopes that for once, her sister would follow her lead, but she discovers that she is alone. It doesn't take long for her fellow housemate, Theodore Nott, to realise that if left to fight this war alone, Quinn would almost certainly not survive. He takes Quinn's arm and helps lead her out of the dark, fighting against any obstacle in their path.
