"So I can ask you anything?" I gulp a large amount of saliva.

"Yes, I'm a virgin." She doesn't even turn to see my reaction, which is a blank face, blinking in bewilderment. Not what I expected but good to know.

"Why did you think I was going to ask that?"

"I don't like assumptions, but if I am at a party like this hosted by a person that I've heard enough for you to be, I would think you'd look into hooking up with someone by the end of the night." She turns over, finally, with the light of the moon sparkling in her eyes. "By the way," she says with a grin, "No thanks."

Tam is just trying to stay in her own lane as she lives with the constant bullying of her ex-bff, Natasha. She puts on a strong face to keep from worrying her Vietnamese-only speaking mother. When two of the most popular jocks in school fall for her, she finds herself in a tough spot. Over time, she finds it more and more difficult to choose, as she can't think straight when she's around one guy, but she's just as weak in the knees when she's with the other. Meanwhile, she has to deal with a past that she's ignored for much too long, bringing up old wounds to fix new ones.

"I... Am here to see you.", I told him as I placed my hands around his neck. I could feel my heart beat getting faster but I had to keep it strong if I had to survive this scenario. "What?", Brandon asked completely startled. I leaned in more closer to him. The only good thing in this entire scene was that he wasn't pushing me back due to my creepy behaviour. "Oh... Bran, I was missing you so much, I just... I needed to see you.", I said as I came up with lie. "Are you drunk?", Brandon asked as he leaned in closer trying to smell my mouth. Thank God Fel had given me her mint gum only moments before I went commando and came inside the locker room. "What?", I scoffed still standing extremely close to Brandon. "I just.... I was missing your gorgeous face.", I told another lie. But wait? His face is gorgeous so that isn't a lie. And was I not missing seeing him? I noticed Brandon who just had his eyes popped out of his socket with bewilderment at my words. I decided to peck him on the cheek before I storm out of the locker room. I leaned ahead to peck Brandon who moved his face in my direction and instead of his cheeks, our lips crashed. Brushing against each other, our lips touched. I could feel fireworks exploding inside my entire body. With my neurological system not responding anymore. ******* Depicting the hostility and vulnerability of a young woman to a society the story centers around a normal sophomore, Amy Cole, who had a normal life. Why wasn't I moving anymore? I'd gone still, muddled as what I should do. "So this was all just a game to you . . .this whole time, you pretended to like me in order to humiliate me in front of the entire school?" An air of melancholia surrounded me, eyes watery like never before. "Were your feelings for me ever real?" There wasn't even a trace of an apologetic expression on his features as he tucked his hands in his pockets, before he gave a nonchalant shrug. The sudden urge for revenge became a prominent priority. He regarded me passively. "It's not my fault that you fell for me in the first place." he justified as he advanced my way, closing the gap between us. Unstably, I strode backwards on the concrete. ". . .stay back." I whimpered. "You're nothing but cold hearted." ·•● Two years ago, Emery Roy was tragically exposed to what some could call an intense betrayal all thanks to the originator - Dean Darnell. A Message From Future Aqua: Hello. This is the first book I've ever written and completed. Excuse the style, and excuse some cringy writing. Those are the cons I have with this book, but I do like how it turned out. It's not masterpiece, but it has a charm to it. With that mind, if you would like to still read this story, I appreciate it. _______________________ Heather A. Williams is just your everyday teenager that every kid wants to be: Rich and Famous.
