The Last Pure Blood (book one)

I walk along the stone pathway on my way home. As I'm walking I keep looking around for something, I don't know why but ever since the night it happened I've been watching my surroundings and keeping my head low.

"Hey you!" A voice yells behind of me, I look back and see a girl running towards me.

"Hey stop her!" The guy yells as she gets closer to me, I grab her arm and turn her around. As I look at her face she's frightened and her eyes are wide, I then push her into the bushes as the guy who was yelling at her is running towards me.

"Hey did you see a girl run this way?" He asks, I shake my head. Then he shrugs and runs off, I bend down and help the girl up.

"Thanks for that." She says as she brushes herself off, then she looks at me and I'm hypnotized by her eyes. She has a rare eye color, I've only seen the color of her eyes on my grandmama. She has violet eyes and her hair is as black as ebony making the violet color stick out. Her skin is porcelain and her lips are blood red.

"No problem, why was that guy yelling at you for?" I ask.

"I don't know exactly what, just that I was walking along with my hood up as someone bumped into me and ran. Then he started yelling at me and I didn't know what to do other then run." She says and for some reason I don't believe her.

"I don't think that's the truth." I say.

"Okay as I was walking along I passed his booth and as he wasn't looking I grabbed an apple, that's the truth." She answers as she looks at the ground.

"Hey your not the only one whose done that. I've done it too and I know how hard it is to find food." I say, her head snaps up and she smiles.

"Thanks for understanding." She answers.

"Your welcome, what's your name?" I ask.

"I've got to go." She says as she runs away.

"Wait I didn't get your name!" I yell as she disappears from view.
