Perseus Jackson is a prince of a kingdom, loved by all. Jason is a poor gardener with anxiety. Prince Perseus has an arranged marriage with the princess from another kingdom, but the bad part is, Perseus is literally the gayest prince ever. Like, the whole package. He's into art, thinks light baby blue colours (as well as other blues too) are fabulous, and couldn't kill a rabbit or shoot a bow to save his life. Jason can't pay his taxes. Coincidentally, Perseus is out collecting taxes in town. Jason obviously can't pay, but Perseus' generosity and constantly happy attitude is showcased and he leaves Jason. After the Tax Encounter, Percy sits in the garden all day, hoping to see Jason working to talk to hi, because Percy thinks Jason is hot, and Jason thinks the same thing so it's literally very skinny love.

The Hanahaki Disease is an illness born from unrequited love, where the patient's throat will fill up with flower, they will then proceed to throw, and cough up the petals, (sometimes even the flowers). One of the only ways for the disease to 'disappear' is if, the said person returns the feeling (it can't be resolved with friendship, it has to be genuine feelings of love). The infection can also be removed through surgery, though the feelings disappear along with the petals. If they choose neither options, or the feeling is not returned in time, then the patient's lungs will fill up with flowers, and will eventually suffocate.
