Don't Blink
When someone comes up to you and warns about, "Life is too short", well that's exactly what they mean. Being orphaned at 11 isn't that bad. I mean, your mother dying at home, right in front of your eyes and your dad leaving you to go on a "supposed" hunting trip and never coming back. Yeah, that doesn't faze me at all. Also, being scarred at 10, naw. Might bite you in the ass later, but what can you do about it. Loving your best friend even though your other best friend loves you, that can be a bitch. F*** Cancer, This One Did Us All In.
There's not a lot that can freak me out in this world. Only large animals with sharp claws, too many people touching me, bullies, hives, horror movies, sitting underneath fans or lights or anything that dangles from a ceiling, glass or wooden bridges, my mother, mosquitoes, public situations, taking a shower with nobody in the house, taking a shower with too many people in the house and crocks. Oh, and zombies. Zombies is definitely on that list. It's almost a shame too, that I have to race through a city packed full of them to find my missing family. Packed full of zombies, by the way, not crocks. (Although I don't know which situation is worse.) I lost my mom at 11, that's when it started. My dad became a drunk and I was left to take care of my 3-month-old baby sister.
