Whitney Preston was just an average girl she loved life she got good grades she had a full life she had friends that cared for her, had a guy that cared for her. 

That is until the tragedy happens she doesn't blame herself for what happened she blames the killer that killed her parents and her aunt. Now that they have moved to a different house she has to go to school and she is not up to the task of pretending to be happy. 

Nathen Andrews is the bad boy that notices that she doesn't have an actual smile on her face so he puts himself up the task where he tries and makes her smile.

When Whitney lost her parents and aunt she closed everyone out even her best friends in the whole world, she even shut out her boyfriend Drew. Now Nathen will do anything in his power to make her get back to the way she was no matter what and that was a promise he has with her brother and sister. It's exactly what he is going to do.
