A silent coffee shop. Silent. Why? No. No, not silent. I can hear my heart. That's all I can hear. I slowly look down at the coffee- stained newspaper on my table. I gaze up as a waft of espresso beans and dark chocolate fill my nose. As he walked away, I stood up without reading the newspaper, got my things, and left in a fury. I was not coming back.

This book was written when I was in year 10/Freshman in High school. It's cringey, I wanted to be edgy.
