Do you know that feeling? Nothing matters, nobody cares, life has no meaning. That feeling that you want to just give up? That all you do is use up space and annoy people? That everybody is better off without you? That's me everyday. Every single day I have to restrain myself from jumping in front of a car or taking all my pills all at once. To Warm Frozen Fingers // A Short Story Collection
I like to write. As you may be able to tell. I haven't been very good at writing lately. As you may also have been able to tell. That's why I've decided to write a short story collection. The stories won't interlink, some may vary wildly and you might even wonder if they were written by the same person (the answer is yes). Overall, I'm aiming to write 23 stories, which was one per day for 23 days but I failed at that (*seethes* college work...) so now I'm just aiming to finish it before winter is over! The stories won't be very long - I'm only allowed to write for 10 minutes per story, just to get me going again (and literally warm my fingers, I get really really cold fingers for some reason) and the most I've ever written in that time is around 500 words. *COVER ART IS MY OWN ORIGINAL WORK* In this portfolio of short stories, I have 22 works, 63 pages, and 19,204 words. My stories are organized by emotional theme, beginning with one story about emotion in general, and then moving through stories expressing distractedness, frustration, argument, love, fear, grief, sadness, humor, innocence, and self-love. About a year ago, I discovered my love for the short story and decided to build a collection of shorter works. I'm so glad I did; the variety of plots, characters, and settings I got to explore taught me so much, and I am beyond pleased with what I have to share. I hope you enjoy reading these snapshots of the human experience as much as I did creating them.Complete
