Rain fell down in heavy torrents, pounding on my jacket as I ran. Wind screamed past my ears. It tore through my hair sending it in every direction. Thunder pounded all around me. Lightning ripped across the sky. I could feel raindrops mixed with my salty tears streak down my face. My screams echoed around me as I searched for someone, anyone, who could help me. My arms pumped back and forth as my legs, torn and bloody, sprinted over the soggy grass. Mud splashed over my soaked jeans. My waterlogged shoes squelched as I proceeded to run. Adrenaline seeped into my blood, energizing my fatigued limbs.
