Nick desperately wants to find true love but hasen't. So, because a tsunami is heading towards the nearby city of Noc, he sends a bottle with his e-mail in it into the ocean hoping for it to reach Noc rapidly, and it does. After the tsunami hits the city of Noc, it leaves Nick's bottle on a beach where a girl named Sara finds it. She e-mails Nick and they get along. Both keep in contact and start liking each other. So, because Sara is rich and Nick is a third-class member she decides to go to the city of Lomberg to visit Nick. She starts visiting Nick often, and Nick and Sara become boyfriend and girlfriend. 

One day Nick decides that he wants to go to Noc so that he can visit Sara. But, Sara offers him money to go on a plane. He denies the offer. So, Nick goes on a ship as a third-class member to Noc from Lomberg.
