I was in a cage, some sort of red stones growing from the ground... wait, hang on, is that a... skull? There is a skull in the red stone thingy. The red gave it a bloody and violent look, and I had to use all my will not to touch. I am not touching it, because it looks sinister and evil.

(This story is my first Dragon Age Inquisition story but has undergone revision and a few changes) Talila, a mid-twenties to late twenties year old woman with a kind heart and is a huge fan of the Dragon Age series, though she keeps it under lock and key. Wren's life is about to change forever - but not how she expects it to. Kidnapped on her wedding day, she finds herself trapped in a mountain cave, unable to return home with no company outside of the inhuman creature that took her. *** "Wait, Wren! Not that way!" It was darker here and panic limited her vision, but she could see it reaching for her; its wings like two huge looming shadows behind it. "Get away! Don't touch me! No, let me go!" She shrieked. She screamed in earnest as a hand took hold of her arm, and then even more when her own hand reached for something to hang onto and grasped at empty air. She had been scrambling towards a sudden drop! The hands hauled her back, but she still struggled. She didn't want to look at it, and she still wasn't sure she wouldn't rather take her chances with the open air instead. "Stop it, I'm not going to hurt you! You'll hit your head on the rock or something. Wren, please!" It knew her name. Somehow it knew her. She was going to die! "Let me go! Stop touching me!" She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.Concluida

She gasped and used the little strength she had left to turn around and look at the man, but certainly not a human one. Muscles rippled across every part of his toned body, nearly seven feet tall in height. His left arm, shoulder blade, and part of his rib cage were scattered with reptilian-like scales that almost appeared like diamonds that glistened in the sunlight. He had thick, pure white hair tied in a braid that laid across his muscular bare back, ending at his hips. He had prominent cheekbones and a well-defined chin and jaw. Beneath his brows, his lavender eyes were as direct as expected, not even blinking as much as the average person. Unfortunately, his haunting eyes landed on the small human, seemingly examining her shaking figure closely. His lips curved into a grin, revealing his dangerously sharp teeth. Realization dawned on her, he was going to eat her. Little did she know, he was actually going to marry her. • snippet • She pulled out of his hold and took a step back. "You want to use me." She rasped. His lavender eyes widened and he took a step towards her, making her take two back. "No, that's not-" Her chest heaved as her worst fear was coming to the light. "That's why you've been trying to win me over. You wanted to- to impregnate me! And... And now I'm here, naked in the water with you!" She snapped, hot tears gathering in her eyes. "Holy shit, I'm naked with you." She exasperated, like she just now realized what she's done. She's never felt more exposed and terrified in her life. She was completely vulnerable to him in that moment. He could pounce on her in a split second, have his was with her, and she wouldn't be able to stop him. There it was again. The sheer terror in her eyes, and it was directed at him. "I don't know what you'll face before the end," Cullen insisted, his face drawing nearer hers until their foreheads were touching. Her hand was palm-up in his, then, the dark leather of his glove and the moonlight's ivory flush making her fingers look impossibly pale. He placed the lucky coin there, closing her fist around it. "Just humour me." ---- Slow burn romance between Cullen and my femme Lavellan, Lyric. The story is mostly made up of moments between characters, skipping some of the action we are familiar with. Spans the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition, base game only. - 18+ only - Disclaimers: - Content/trigger warnings for minor character injury, blood/gore, and sexual content. - This is a a slow burn, but it is a romance nonetheless. *Not* smut; there are also character pieces for my Inquisitor and some others that are not related to the romance, but it's all part of Lyric's story. - There are time jumps, and some slight canon divergence/original elements, but nothing that impacts the integrity of the story in a major way. - I have only played Inquisition and all associated expansions, but not the earlier games. - This is my interpretation of the story- I take some liberties with minor variations and some situations of my own. - My lore is not perfect, but I'm trying! Dragon Age: The Surviver
Following a lot of the Dragon Age game series storyline by Bioware but with a twist... A young Dalish girl's clan is slaughtered by Tevinter mages but they take the girl as a slave and burns Lyrium into her skin. (Yes, like a certain angsty porcupine we know.) Before the girl is taken to Tevinter she over powers the mages with her new abilities and is found by a group of Templars. Not knowing what to do with the girl they take her back to the Ferelden Circle of Magi where she later on meets the Grey Warden... She's bi so she'll blush at anyone who flirts with her, like most of Dragon Age characters. Her romance won't happen until Veilguard. I originally started writing this to help get Dragon Age out of my system but it's starting to make my love for it grow stronger and I wish to share it with others. I'm open to any lore corrections. I unfortunately don't have any of the books so some of the lore may be lost to me but I'll try my best with the knowledge I've gained from the games, series and movie. I hope you dear readers enjoy it and let's keep this a positive and save space to share our passions. NO BOTS!
