A lot can happen in one year, and no one knows this better than The Beatles themselves. Life turns from the regular mundane, and sometimes even scary push and pull of Liverpudlian life, to a rush of gigs, recordings, and meetings. Sleep is luxury and an excessive work ethic is necessary. For John, a man always in need of sort of rebellion, this set responsibility and structure in his life feels insufferable. Despite the fact that he's almost at the height of his career, and that he's doing exactly what he imagined he would be when he got his first guitar, he's not happy.

Manager Brian Epstein finds one medium that, no matter what, pulls John in and captures his attention; the art of story making and literature. In order to keep John sane, or at least functional and happy, Brian pairs him with one of Liverpool's upcoming journalists, Evelyn Sinclair. A ghostwriter of sorts, she works with the man to create stories, write about special events, and allows John to express himself on a different spectrum than songwriting.

What happens when Evelyn finds out that perhaps John's in need of a bit more than a writing partner, though? What happens when the articles John gives her are more than just the typical things she was expecting; more than the run-of-mill day-to-day Beatle schedule? What will happen when she decides upon herself to stop publishing them?

This is story of two people: John Lennon and the journalist that hid it all.

TRIGGER WARNING: contains drug/alcohol use and NSFW content. Inspired by the movie, "Two of Us (2000)" ====================================== "You don't look different, but you have changed. I'm looking through you; you're not the same." The year is 1976 and the Beatles were a legendary band of the past. Old news, even. A distant memory that, at one point in time, took the entire world by storm. But that was years and years ago... Since, the band has gone through a pretty bitter break up. Though, memories don't fade away so easy. Paul McCartney knew that better than anyone else. Paul notices himself thinking back on old times more often than ever before. Dwelling on the unresolved problems between himself and the others... Well, the problems he has with one person in particular. John Lennon. Paul wants to repair the apparent issues left behind him with his ex-partner... his ex-lover, and it's no secret to anybody in his "new" life. One day, even his wife, Linda, suggests to Paul that he should go and visit the lad in New York City. So? What else is he to do, but... make a surprise trip? The rest of this story lies between these pages. ====================================== - Completed - Ranked #1 in the Mclennon tag and #1 in Starrison - Pretty Angsty - Disclaimer: Some quotes used in this story are paraphrased/referenced from the original "Two of Us (2000)" movie. 19 parts Complete

Charlene McCarthy is a normal seventeen year old Irish teenager from the year 2012. One day, while out playing hurling with her brother and some friends, Tammy Mahon, her enemy and her brother's crush, asks to play. Of course, Gary allows her to play. Tammy screws up so badly that Charlene quits. Tammy hits her on the top of the head with her hurl and Charlene passes out. When Charlene wakes up she meets the Beatles - the sweet, funny Ringo Starr, the perverted John Lennon, the cute, baby faced Paul McCartney and the shy, quiet, gorgeous, allways hungry and extremely drunk George Harrison. She's in Liverpool too, when a few hours previously she had been in Galway. How did that happen? That's the least of her worries though, her biggest concern is she's stuck in the year 1962! What the hell happened there? Another thing, she's falling head over heels for George, lucky for her George returns the feelings. Char misses her family, but doesn't want to leave George. What will she do? How will she even get back to her time? In the mean time, how will the Beatlemaniacs react? Once they know George is no longer available? Will this story have a happy or sad ending? You'll have to read and find out. . .
