This is a story I wrote for my company's annual Writing contest. I was somewhat limited by the 4,500 word limit, so it ends with a bit of an anticlimax. I wrote it more to work on a character that I wanted to develop. I'm planning to write more Jason Hawke stories in the future.

The story is based on the writing prompt: You've won a thousand dollars a week for the rest of your life. Now you're being hunted by the world's best assassins. They have been hired by the people running the lottery game you played because they don't want to pay you for that long. The story takes place in modern times, any major city setting is fine. It is written through the main characters eyes, only referred to as 'you'. The description of the character is deliberately vague so that the reader can imagine themselves as the character.Complete
