Hope you enjoy reading my story xx! This hasn't been completely edited, so I apologise for any mistakes.
"Out of the way, Granger." Draco Malfoy pushed past her to the ingredients cupboard in the potions room.
"Honestly, how rude could you get, Malfoy?" She pushed him back as she reached for the bottle on the top shelf, but, found herself just ever slightly too short.
"Need some help?" The blonde haired boy smirked as he looked her up and down - why was he still here anyways, "Seems like you're a little short."
The brunette spun around and glared at him, "Yes, I've noticed that, thank you very much." she pulled out her wand, "Accio," the bottle flew down to her, "And no, I won't be needing your help."
"Well, you did say that I was acting rude so I was just offering my help." He shot her a half smirk half smile and walked off to his bench. There was something about that smile that was somewhat genuine, it was a playful smile. Not the hateful smirk he used to give her every time they saw each other, even when they were still kids, no. It was different and Hermione hated it.
She hated the way if made her want to smile back, the way it made her want to grin inwardly to herself or the way it tinged her cheeks a rosy colour. Merlin, she hated that stupid smile of his, but at the same time, she just couldn't get enough.
\\ there will be slight swearing, just FYI ;)
\\ DISCLAIMER: all of the characters, places, drinks and spells (and probably other things) except for the ones I've made up, belong to the amazing JK Rowling!
Draco Malfoy: cold, distant, ignorant, rude, arrogant, and above all else, downright gorgeous.
Juniper Hartley: caring, intelligent, unfathomably sweet, and above all else, downright gorgeous.
As their paths cross unexpectedly and his mind bewildered with reasons he can't explain as to why he can't stop thinking about her, he's forced to examine the possibility of letting someone in, to sharing emotion with another person other than his thoughts. Dark times lie ahead in their future as Draco's family demands Death Eater, but his soul demands something, or someone, else. What lengths would you go to keep the person you love most safe?

"I do believe such a place exists," he nodded, "and if we can't find it I would build you that white Tudor cottage with the stained glass windows, right on the edge of evergreen trees so that when the fog comes in the early morning, the air will be full of mist that carries their evergreen scent into that meadow full of flowers and grass." Draco spoke quietly and swiftly as if he could plan in his mind exactly how it would be, as if he could simply pick it up from his thoughts and place it in her hands so it could be her reality.
