Independence Day is always the most festive time of the year. Everyone from town to town all over would have huge parties. Men would drink till they couldn't stand and shoot fiery hot bullets into the night sky. Women would hunt for men with a burning desire to settle down or just to bed for the night at one of the saloon hotels. I use to celebrate like that too with my old comrades but that changed on the night of 1869.
