A dark future has come to pass, and now the thirteen children of the original Shepherds have gathered together to set the world to rights, by performing the Awakening to go back in time to stop their ruinous future. However, due to time travel, they get separated into different points in time within a timeline not their own. Deciding to stay separated, they pursue their plans to change the future on their own. For a certain masked dracoknight, this means murdering the man who killed his parents: Ylisse's Master Tactician, Robin.
Back in the past, Chrom and his group find who, unbeknownst to them, will become the famed Master Tactician of Ylisse. Together, they must tackle the challenges set before them on a road filled with danger, and prove the bonds they forge are much, much tougher to break than they originally thought.
Armed with the knowledge of the future, Gerome must make a choice: will he decide to kill Robin, or will he decide to ally himself with the amnesiac tactician, to attempt to prevent a future far worse than the one he came from?

The kingdom of Ylisse, is considered as the Realm of Peace and Hope for all that dwell there. but with strange events that came into place. It's up to the Exalt Prince, Chrom, and the rest of his allies to set Ylisse's conflicts to an end. On top of his mission to protect his kingdom, Chrom has to decide to either trust the help of a unknown man in robes or face the kingdom's problems on his own. Could Prince Chrom truly trust others for his own victory?
