There is a difference between playing music and PLAYING music. 

Dan howell, the lead singer of a band with his three friends, troye, Tyler, and Pj. His voice is angelic. He makes meaningless lyrics sound like they where written just for his voice. But when he sings himself, he just sings, he doesn't... SING. at least until Pj brings a certain raven haired, ghost white skinned, ocean blue eyed boy to a gig one night. And his songs become more than just words being sung. 

Phil Lester. A song writer with much more talent than any professional. Yet no one gives him the time of day. Quite frankly. No one even knows about his writing. He has always dreamed of writing for a big band. And he might get his chance when his best friend Pj brings him along to a bar that his band is playing at. That's where he meets the brown haired, chocolate eyed, pink lipped boy. And his writing becomes much more than just words on a page,
