Dear Reader, Getting a story out of Shrilynda is no easy task, but when presented with the opportunity, I couldn't turn it down. I think you'll agree with me the risk to life and limb was worth it. However, Shrilynda was adamant I retell the story the way it was told to me, which made things more than a little discombobulated. Since I was so excited to have access to the story at all (and to be able to leave with both my memories and limbs intact), I agreed to order it her way. I did label the parts for your sake, reader, although if you try to read in that order, you might be taking your life into your own hands. Shrilynda has ways of knowing these things. It's probably best for you to just try to make sense as you go along. Sincerely, Jennifer

This story follows series of novels that begins with The Black Pearl. If you haven't read Black Pearl, Memory Spell, and Destiny Detour in other places, this story will still stand alone, but it will spoil some things if you decide to go back and read. For that and many other reasons, continue at your own risk!

Bound by the Sea

14 parts Ongoing Mature

The sea gave her freedom. The sea took it away. Lyriana of the Coral Court has always belonged to the ocean-fierce, wild, and untamable. But when her mother, the Sea Queen, orders her to marry a prince she doesn't love, Lyriana flees her kingdom in search of her own destiny. She dreams of freedom beyond duty and thrones, but freedom comes with a price. Caught in a storm above the reef, Lyriana is trapped in a fisherman's net and dragged aboard the Sea Serpent, a pirate ship commanded by Captain Rowan Blackthorn-a man known across kingdoms for chasing legends, not obeying laws. Fierce, clever, and haunted by secrets of his own, Rowan sees in Lyriana not a monster to fear but a mystery to claim. Imprisoned far from the water that gives her life, Lyriana must fight to survive among men who see her as treasure, a weapon, or a curse. But as she learns more about Rowan, she discovers he's searching for something deeper than gold-something the sea itself may have hidden. As their worlds collide, old myths rise again. Curses stir beneath the waves. A power older than both sea and sky begins to awaken. Torn between hatred and a strange pull toward her captor, Lyriana faces an impossible choice: Escape back to the sea and abandon everything she's begun to feel... or risk her heart-and her freedom-to uncover the truth about the tides that bind them. Because some bonds aren't made by chains. They're made by the sea.
