Shane Smith was a good kid. He still is. But everything changed after two events. First, his father was murdered, and second he was struck by lightning. He later found out that he was endowed with extraordinary abilities given to him by the electrical bolt. He now uses his abilities to protect the ones who can't protect themselves in memory of his father. To his friends and family he is known as Shane Smith, but to the rest of Larson City he is known as, the vigilante, Lectric.
