What do you do when you suddenly find yourself in a world between life and death? A misty limbo for those with unfinished buisness. Kassie wasn't religious, she scoffed at ghosts and reincarnation, until she finds herself in their world. A duplicate of our universe, but covered in a light haze, and filled with the ghosts of people's last moments. For someone who's never had too many responsibilities, finding out she must help the ghosts in Afterwhere "move on" along with a band of other people, stuck, like her, is a crippling shock from reality.

"Somehow it happened." Exe has died and woke up in Nexternity, an abstract world that houses billions of reincarnated creatures from Earth. Everyone has a new body which is based on their life before, but Exe does not remember anything from her last life or even the cause of her death, which isolates her. She goes on an adventure to find the "Paradise", a glorious refuge for people like her. As she travels, she meets zany and mysterious friends and outlandish and horrifying nightmares, quickly realizing that this isn't just a journey to a new home, but a journey to free herself and her peers from the grasp of corruption. This is a story about love, hate, hurting, healing, and most of all, acceptance. TW: Topics about Death, Abuse, Murder, Suicide, Cannibalism, and Cults. Though, each of these are shown on a mild to moderate scale and are carefully used. There is mild swearing. This story is rated PG13/Young Adult.
