The people of the small town of Silvervale are in trouble, and they don't even know it.

When a mysterious tree magically appears in the park at the center of town and begins luring people to it with vivid dreams, no one knows anything strange is going on... no one except high school senior Lyla Dewlite, whose friend is caught in the dark web of the tree's magic. She must find a way to stop the tree before its games turn lethal, but the only one who knows anything about it is an enigmatic man in a red suit who wanders around town with a notebook, talking to everyone. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street.
