Daniel turns into a man running two different lives, the people from each life the people in it knowing nothing about each other. One life running a criminal enterprise from the top, the other life only pretending to run a criminal enterprise. When he is done with it as a man he tries to outrun his past struggling to make a future for himself.

Lauri starts studying the case in another state while she is in high school and when her mother passes while reading into the case as a detective after she starts to get too close.
