Summers in Purchase, TX bring two things to the Lune family: long mornings in Eclair de Lune and the ballad of Gentleman Ben. August can't come quickly enough for seventeen-year-old Tamsin Lune. When she isn't working in her mother's doughnut shop or waiting for her father's gallery schedule to bring him back to Texas, Tamsin spends her time packing her extensive library for college and riding her bicycle through the town at twilight dawn, all while ruining her ears with angry Scandinavian music. When Tamsin discovers a family heirloom hidden in her attic, she begins to wonder just how many of the stories surrounding her mother's heritage are true. But before she can properly investigate, she finds herself falling into the dark and twisted world of Perchance -- a land commanded by century-old promises and rivaling ancestries and toxic, black magic. The only thing keeping Tamsin safe is the thing everyone in Perchance is after: a gold pocket-watch with a raven etched into the face's cover. Will Tamsin make it back to Purchase alive? Can she satisfy a debt that is generations in the making? Or will she succumb to the destructive power of Perchance?
