peculiar - (adj.) strange or odd; unusual "There are two things more Peculiar than anything I've ever seen. The first is time. It goes by so fast, we take it for granted, don't even think about it, really. But you, Antonia, you're the second one. You really are something Peculiar." Antonia Somnusson was, like her brother Horace, a peculiar child. She had a similar peculiarity to her brother's; he could see the future, and she could see the past. They'd been separated as children, Antonia had been taken to a different Loop than her brother. But, when he sees that if she doesn't leave she'll be in danger, he begs Miss Peregrine to rescue her. Unfortunately, when they get to her, it's too late; the Loop has been raided, the ymbryne captured and every peculiar murdered. Except for Antonia.
