The Zone Test is said to be unbeatable. TV commercials and inescapable website ads proclaim that it is the American duty to take the test and help further advance technologies to be used in war against Russia. Nobody knows what the test entails. Nobody has come out.
Sofia faces a dilemma- the rent is due in a week, and her parents have nothing. Living on the streets means almost certain death for her family. The test is her only choice.
She just hopes it's not her last.
