Opal was a simple, smart , music loving, quiet, shy teenager. all her life she had dreamed about going into space like her uncle, takashi 'shiro' shirogane. she lived in the city with her mother and father in Australia, they didn't have much and her mother and father had started to fight more, but they all had each other, no matter how bad the fights got...that changed when she was twelve, when her parents were both mugged and killed in front of her. she was sent to live with takashi, where she went and attended the Garrison as her uncle was a teacher there and it was a better place for him to keep an eye on her, a very close eye. Opal was molded into a diffrent person then she was before. Where before she was loud and careless, she turned quiet and sympathetic , much of this being sheltered by her uncle. Using her time wisely and earning the top ranks in her classes, right next to lance mcclain and keith kogane. making friends with lance's friends, hunk. The three became known as the troublemaker trio, doing almost anything together. Becoming closer together, not just as friends, but as family...
Then the kerberos mission came along and took her uncle away....and it changed her...
one year later, her and her friends discovered something that many thought was impossible. meet new people, see new things, new friends and new emenies. discover who they are....will opal finally let the world see who she is or will she only see someone she won't even know?

It's been years since the universe had seen the great Paladins of Voltron in battle. Years since those paladins have seen the lions. The universe was saved, so the lions left. Until now. The paladins are older now, and each have their own families. Hunk and Shay decided to settle down, and had a son named Erik. He looked a lot like Hunk, but was very Bulmeran. Shiro met an alien named Hel while on a special mission. The two fell in love and had a baby boy named Kade. Kade had black messy hair, and dark skin like Hel. Pidge didn't end up having any kids, but Matt on the other hand had a daughter named Evelyn. Evelyn was a lot like the siblings, with the same Gunderson charm. Lance settled down with Allura, and had a daughter named Isla. Isla looked very much like Allura, but with Lances brown hair and a strange condition with her skin tone. She ended up with a very light skin tone, due to a strange Altean occurrence. When no Altean father is present, the child takes the skin tone of the closest Altean male. Since that was Coran, Isla ended up with lighter skin, but Lance and Allura had no problems with it. Some time after Allura had passed away, Lance and Keith realized they had feelings for each other. They soon adopted a daughter named Abbey. Abbey had been through a lot regarding families, so she wasn't fond of siblings. Soon enough though, her and Isla became great friends. Even though Pidge had no children, all the kids thought of her as the cool aunt. They were all friends, and hung out quite often. This is the story of the Voltron Descendants. (This is a story me and my friends are writing. The new characters are OC's of ours, and we wanted to do something with them. In this universe, Allura made it past the final battle, but passed away when Isla was young.
