Charles Sanderson is a 16 year old boy who is considered shy and distant towards others. He wishes are to see the beauty of the world and become a research scientist however when his mother died of cancer, he lives alone with his father.

Ever since he met a girl in a ruined cathedral his life takes a dramatic turn for the greater good, unfortunately fate is a cruel judge and will decide anything it wants in the boy's life
