A novella in 20 chapters.

When Henry's wife and child are killed in a car crash, he finds refuge in whiskey and writing. Once reaching rock-bottom, he wakes up in a strange realm inhabited by a powerful entity-a human from the distant future. "Raquel" reveals she long-ago abandoned her physical body to become a purely digital entity along with a handful of other survivors of global nuclear war. The location of the massive super computer preserving these digitized beings, The Nautilus, has been lost to time and is steadily destroying the remnants of humanity as it decays.

Henry learns he is nothing more than a bit of code in an ancestry simulation Raquel has designed. Reluctantly, he agrees to return to the simulated Earth to fix "bugs" in various timelines. Once the simulation's accuracy is perfected, the true location of the Nautilus will be revealed, allowing it to be repaired. In exchange for Henry's service, Raquel agrees to resurrect his dead wife and child.

What's home, if not the first place you flee from? What's love, if not that blazing, unexplainable feeling born from the ashes of hate? Reputable for her appeal, servility, and obsession with cartoons, Alaina is a workaholic immigrant doctor who's sworn off love. Scarred by her parents' past turbulent relationship, which left her emotionally guarded, she endures her family's relentless efforts to marry her off. Then one day, her tranquil world is set ablaze when she collides with a man who redefines arrogance. Davian Ash. Ruthless, enigmatic, and wealthy beyond comprehension. He's a businessman with a shadowy past, and a darkness that clings to him like an impenetrable skin. His piercing Wildfire eyes unsettle her. Her big brown eyes infuriate him. His arrogance leaves her off balance. Her quick wit angers and fascinates him. His broodiness chills her. Her quirky attitude irks him. They both despise each other, but the chemistry between them is undeniable. When she inadvertently takes something precious from him, Davian's revenge forces them into closer proximity, and the emotions they harbor grow even more intense. Despite the adversity he drowns her in, she and her subconscious can't help but fan-girl over him, craving things she knows she shouldn't. She tries to resist falling for a man like him. An embodiment of everything she fears, a mirror of the toxicity she vowed never to bear again. And yet, as he lets her unravel the layers of his harsh exterior, uncovering the raw humanity underneath, she's forced to confront an uncomfortable truth: the beast has a soul, and it's a soul she can't ignore. Will she prove everyone right once again about how weak she is and let him in? Forgive his transgressions, dare to love the man who turned her world into ashes? Did the flames he put her through destroy her, or did they transform her into something far stronger than anyone, including herself, could ever gave her credit for?

When a corporate accident tears holes in reality, an entomologist and her con-artist husband become the best hope humanity has against total destruction. Hawk West is not the scientist we need right now. She's an entomologist, a "bug doctor", with a specialization in ants and an obsession with honeypots. Her husband, Alex West, is a reformed con artist. But a billionaire's pet business, the Ararat Project, has just torn a hole in the fabric of reality, and the things on the other side aren't friendly. Energy gushes out of the hole, transforming all organic matter into crystalline ashes. They're calling it Glass, and they have no way of stopping it. But then Hawk's specialty proves to be the answer Ararat was looking for. Suddenly she and her husband are on the front lines in a war against an unseen enemy, whose actions threaten to rip our world apart...and whose goals are all too human.
