It is like Rangers Apprentice by John Flanagan. A young boy, Keli Malket, is found by strangers as the Dhriebans attack his hometown. When they fight them off and rebuild he joins a royal family and is considered very highly respectable. He never fits in though.

a continuation of happy__writing's book The World of the Ranger. I will be posting chapters 7 and beyond, whereas her profile only has Chapters 1 through 6. Please keep in mind that NONE of the original characters from this book are my own and all chapters are dedicated to happy__writing, as they are the original creator of the book and it's characters, except for the ones that John Flanagan has created. With these in mind, I leave you with the advice that if you have not yet read the first six chapters of The World of the Ranger, then I suggest that you do so now, because you will not be able to understand anything without them. Happy__writing is very busy nowadays and has passed their story on to me. I hope you all understand and will not be angry with happy__writing.

First Book in the Star Crossed Trilogy Based on Telltales adaptation of Game of Thrones. I'm not familiar with the books, however this is my own story line anyway. Hope you enjoy. The story follows a character called Cynthia Glover, who has been House Forrester's ward since the age of 4. She is very close with each of the children, and, when of a certain age, begins to form a different kind of bond with Asher; this, though shortly lived, is tragically ruined when the second son is exiled to Essos for fraternising with the enemy, and Cynthia is left thinking she's lost her only chance with the man she loves. This story picks up where the game begins but soon follows my own designed path as oppose to Telltale's plot. After Gared returns home and is soon sent away again, and Ethan is announced Lord, Cynthia travels to the Wall with the Duncan Tuttle, only to discover something that will later persuade her course of action to land her on a boat to Essos, following her heart for the first time, and reuniting the Star Crossed pair.

Completee Just read it. I don't know what I plan on doing with it, but it's not finished. This story is about a boy who has always been defenseless and alot of actions and people soon help him overcome this fear by training him. From there he soon learns how the real world is like and well no amount of blocking is going to save him from the hit that he'll recieve.

Disheartened by the turn of events far from in his favor, he must learn how to get by. When a Ranger visits his life is turned upside-down. Suddenly he's caught in the middle of action when all he wanted was peace and quiet, his humble village in danger, and only he can save it. -- Trigger/content warning for a little bit of blood/gore and self-sacrificial feelings. I didn't go too far with either because I cannot handle gore or want to make you upset, just enough for the plot. If you've read Flanagan's Ranger's Apprentice or Brotherband Chronicles (both for tweens and without any TW's that I know of) and been okay, you should be perfectly fine here.
