Six years ago best friends Avalon and Julian went to the summer fair with her dad Conner and his brother Salem to celebrate turning fourteen. The fun didn't last more than two hours.
While Conner and Julian used the bathroom, Avalon and Salem waited on a bench by the Teacups, wishing they could tell one another how they really feel about one another. Over twenty minutes passes with no confessions made. Conner and Julian don't return either.
Eventually, Avalon's dad is found murdered and Julian's missing without a trace, like his friend Seth had gone two months earlier. The only suspect Avalon and Salem can come up with is Julian's bully, and he's found innocent.
As the summer comes to an end and no leads are found, Avalon and Salem pull apart and blame for what happened is put on Avalon.
Now, with the six year anniversary coming up, Julian contacts them both, bringing them back together for a little scavenger hunt that'll lead them to the truth about what happened at the fair. It'll also reveal some family secrets. Only to get the clues and some not so pretty answers, Avalon and Salem have to watch their backs: more than one person is out to get them.
