A box of cookies changed my life. I had a box and BAM! I'm out for two whole days. I wake up to find out I'm jobless to top it all off the fear a tail will start to grow make me uneasy. My best friend claims I should be fine, that not all the boxes are radioactive, but I ate two. And the odds are never in my favor.

The Focus Effect
I see the world through different eyes--literally. Some people would say I have it all. I'm smart, have popular friends and my parents are loaded. One deadly weekend at the family lake house changes all that. When I wake up in a strange facility in the middle of nowhere, I'm told that I'm being held for the public's safety and that I've been given a gift. I can see threads of light around objects that can be manipulated to change ordinary things into new and, sometimes, unworldly contraptions. But to call it a gift? It's actually pretty freaky. But the facility director has got to be the worst. He's completely obsessed with unlocking my abilities, not to mention he's a psychopath. To make matters worse, there's this boy I like. I just wish I knew if I could trust him or not. Or maybe the better question is--can he trust me? I almost forgot to tell you the craziest part of all. I'm radioactive.Complete

I am different than anyone off the street. I have now been put in a spot that I have to fix by myself or the whole country could be in danger.
