"No. The less you care, the lonelier you are." - In a world where people have the ability to flip an emotions switch, many people lack feelings and sympathy in general- including Dan Howell after a tragedy strikes and he can't take it. However, he meets Phil Lester, the outgoing flirt with too big of a heart to handle. The two become close, and Dan soon realizes that even with his switch off, he can't deny that Phil is slowly reaching to turn it back on, and Dan can't seem to push his hand away.

Summary: Dan draws, Phil doesn't. Phil wears black shirts, speaks loudly, and glares at everyone. Dan wears grey jumpers, doesn't talk, and tries to stay invisible. Phil's reckless, Dan's not. This is as story about two polar opposites who mange to have a string of first times together, and maybe even a cute love story. Because unexpected things always happen, when you try to keep someone at arms length. Rating/Warnings: Mature Readers (READ AT OWN RISK). I've read a bunch of phan, so why not write one? Dan Howell's life couldn't be any better at the moment. He has met the most beautiful, charming, kind girl he could ever imagine, and she loves him back. Everything is perfect... but not for Phil. Phil Lester has always been in love with Dan since the first moment he first met him, but now Phil's heart is crushed. He has some suspicions of Dan's girlfriend, but Dan just brushes it off, ignoring Phil completely. Unfortunately, Phil's bad feelings may be true... Sexual content, self harm, language, and domestic abuse warning. Also, I'm American, so if I get anything wrong, please tell me. ••• Update: This is very old (not really that old) writing! Angst, Fluff. A Phan story that will pull at your heart strings and flood you with emotions. After spending a few days acting annoyed with his beloved, Dan asks the almost impossible question; Will you marry me? Nothing in life could be more perfect for them than it is right now. That is, until life decides to throw them a curve ball. When health takes control of Dan's life, it is left for him and Phil to simply make the most of what little time they have left by revisiting dates and memories. But the day finally comes where Dan has to leave Phil with hardly a chance to say goodbye. But, somehow, the usually disorganised boy who is prone to procrastinate has been for-thinking and left Phil a little present... Warning; this story is very emotional indeed :3

Dan and Phil are in the same year at school and finally meet through a similarity, but how will their separate and different lives affect their friendship and could it blossom into something more? Find out how Phil overcomes obstacles bigger than what he should have to face at this age and how Dan overcomes fear of loving someone outside of his social group at school. Mostly fluff, some angst to make it interesting. There will be some swearing, but not major. This is based off of one of my one shots "You're cute" - go check out my Phan one shots if you want to. :P

Dan Howell was the typical spoiled, rich boy with butlers driving him to operas and maids making him nachos for breakfast. Phil Lester, however, was the opposite. Barely any money and deadbeat parents, he lives in a bad neighborhood in a gross apartment with cat hair covering the carpet and an odd roommate. And then Dan's parents decide he needs to love someone rather than himself, and when Phil shows up at his mansion steps, Dan's parents grow fond of him- so much that the two are exchanging rings and Phil is moving in with his new spouse. They tell Dan he should give it a few months, to be patient, and if he still doesn't like him then they'll sign the divorce papers and call it quits. Marriage isn't perfect, right? Well this one is the exact example. But they could always pretend.

Dan is the senior that everyone looks up to, he is charming, witty and sometimes even nice. Phil is the sophomore that is constantly being bullied for being who he his, a boy who likes boys. Roles seem to switch when Dan saves Phil's life, and finds himself falling for the younger boy. Dan is the new target for torment and beatings. But unlike Phil, Dan doesn't handle it very well, and finds himself spiraling downhill, with what seems like no way back to the top.
