This is why I wanted to write a fanfiction incorporating an original character in the show who can stand for every reader of this fanfiction. I'm only not following the story line because it will be way to painful to go back though 11 seasons just to write this. So it will only follow monsters they hunted (in later seasons as well) but won't contain any major spoilers. Won't even follow how they defeated said monster/supernatural being. Will even add some of my own if my imagination is working.
