Hansol is finally able to catch a well-deserved longterm break whilst on hiatus from promotions with his Korean boy band, Seventeen. His family returns to New York city for their summer vacation, him being able to revisit his hometown and enjoy the familiar sidewalks as well as western atmosphere of the lively urban region - a refreshing break from Korea.

Meanwhile, Somi's girl group, Incandescent (known affectionately in English as ICDC and Korean as B.Y. for Bag-Yeol) from JYP Entertainment have stopped promotions of their successful debut. As such, her family takes the opportunity to return to Canada for a summer vacation to celebrate the group's popularity - but first, they decide to stop by New York city as well for a tourist stay.

Just as the Lion King broadway showing at Minskoff Theatre is about to kick off, these two idols' worlds collide.

Male lead is Vernon from SEVENTEEN, female lead is Somi from JYP and formerly from I.O.I.
This fanfic also heavily involves their families as focal characters for the story, more specifically Somi's little sister Evelyn at 10 years old and Hansol's little sister Sofia at 15 years old.

Set in the year 2019, so Somi is 18 and Vernon is 21.
Since Somi hasn't been distinguished as a legitimate artist/girl group member under JYP irl, this timeline goes with the supposition that there is a new JYP girl group which debuted January of 2019 called Incandescent (or ICDC, Korean name being "Baeg-Yeol" or B.Y. which translates to incandescent in English). Of course, Vernon's still part of SEVENTEEN.

Since it's based in the US, I have the opportunity to not misuse Korean slang terms and not try to emulate Korean society from the view of an outsider, so i am proud to inform you that there will be none of that here.
