The Path Less Traveled By

Addilyn Tyler has been haunted by her sister's suicide for 10 years now. In an oppressive government, her sister is labeled a disgrace, her mother a failure for not raising her child right, and Addilyn and her now mute brother Destyn disgraces by default. In a govenment that controls everything, Addilyn does her best to keep her mouth shut and not get beaten on a daily basis by her classmates. But when new kid Xander shows up and talks about a land uncontroled by the Government, is this the hope and motivation Addi needs to escape?
