When particles left on a victim's skull led Dr. Scott Hoying and Special Agent Joe Hobbs to a vault in an old bank, they discover tapestries, paintings, books, and other artifacts related to a number of mystical orders and traditions, including Kabbalah, Freemasonry, and Gnosticism. The key feature of the vault is a silver skeleton arranged in a "Widow's Son" pose, a position known to the ancient Greeks as one of sacrifice. Parts of the silver skeleton had been replaced with actual bone, which bear teeth marks from two different individuals, suggesting ritualistic consumption of flesh. The vault also yields a tapestry whose pattern corresponds to specific locations in Washington, D.C. and to tarot cards showing different archetypes, such as the Musician, the Bishop, and the Corruptor. Is this mystery maybe too much for the crew? Or will the emotional denial get in the way of catching the true murderer? This is mostly for my personal friends, considering they're the only ones who will understand the characters. (No, this is NOT a Scomiche piece.) For a basic understanding of our characters out of this piece, check out my friend @demonicpilot 's character profile at https://www.wattpad.com/story/99643515-guide-to-rp-characters ! This does not describe them in this AU! ALL COPY RIGHTS GO TO FOX ENTERTAINMENT, THE "BONES" FRANCHISE, AND KATHY REICHS. This is based almost exactly after season three, episodes "The Widow's Son in the Windshield", "The Knight on the Grid", "The Pain in the Heart"( 2008 ) but with our original role play characters, made by Jas ( @nuggetsnotdruggets ), Sammy ( @demonicpilots ) and myself.
