The Oil Purge

You assume the role as Connor Chambers, just an ordinary twenty eight year old, until something changes Connor and humanity forever. The year is twenty thirty two, one of the most catastrophic events has just unfolded, plunging the world into a post apocalyptic world, where survival is always top priority. The world has just ran out of oil. At first, back around two thousand twenty, engineers were working on this new technology breakthrough, machines that could drill for oil at expendiental speeds. Due to the high demand of oil starting to pop up, they were supposed to change everything, in fact they really did, just not in the "planned" way. It was never predicted, it just wasn't imaginable, the world running out of oil, everyone just skipped pass the idea as if it were nothing. The robots stopped drilling because there wasn't any oil. After that everything went downhill from there.
