Although his footsteps were no quieter that the patter of rain, it still rang through the empty gallery. I looked over to the center of the almost empty room, and there he was- with his ash grey suit and sepia brown locks, a bloodred apple balanced on his palm.
I nodded to him. "I expected you to show up." "I couldn't keep away." The ebony drops that were his eyes seemed to hold a speck of fear. "What do you mean, you couldn't keep away?" I asked. His eyes darted over me for a moment, and the air in the room seemed to hold its' breath. Before I could even react, grey blocked my vision. Arms encircled my torso, and I swore I could feel his heartbeat hammering against my chest.
The apple lay discarded on the windowseat, and as he leaned forward, I inhaled the sweet scent of berries. His lips connected with my ear and he spoke simple words that would go on to haunt me. "You always torture me..."
