Marinette hummed as she attended to her garden room a few miles from her home that no one knew of. The flowers glistened with fresh water laying on their petals as Marinette looked at the drenched stranger standing with his hands gripped to his hood, the room seeming to light up brightly as soon as he walked in, flowers that had trouble blooming growing beautifully and vines stretching up high, everything seeming to grow faster as time seemed to slow, Marinette seeing nothing but the darkness.

She clenched onto her stomach and willed herself not to cry, but instead, her legs gave way and she landed on her knees, more unsettling anger rushing through her body like large waves. This was too much to handle. As tears escaped from her eyes, Marinette didn't notice the small dark butterfly fluttering towards her. Instead, she covered her face and forced herself not to scream, tried to get up from her knees and walk away, pretending she hadn't seen anything. But it wasn't easy, and when she finally looked up to see the Akuma, it was already too late.
