James Potter begins attending Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. There he befriends Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and and Peter Pettigrew. The four instantly become close friends, get into mischief together, hang out together and deal with James's "enemy", Severus Snape.
Only, Remus is hiding something from the other boys. Something he'd like to tell them, but something that would make them afraid of him.
Remus knows he cannot hide this secret forever, the other boys will figure out eventually, but will they work through it? Or will they leave Remus to be all alone?
A Harry Potter fanfic, on the tales of the young Marauders at Hogwarts.

I did have a similar concept prior to reading her work, so it's more accurate to say it motivated me to write this. The setup is generally the same, but this story is very different. WizardGod's fic is brilliant and I highly recommend it if you haven't already read it! Barty Crouch Jr. is tagged but he doesn't come into the story until chapter 23.

The main focus is on Severus' evolving relationship with the Marauders, once they come to the conclusion that the only way to get through this summer intact is to cooperate. Marauders AU Romance
This story is based on JK Rowling's characters from the series Harry Potter. I have done my best to be accurate with both timelines and character portrayals, but of course there will be some changes since this is an alternate universe with some original characters inserted, plus, there is only so much written about the marauder's era. The story takes place in the year 1976, the boys are all in their sixth year, and tensions are high at Hogwarts. Many of the students are already feeling the influence of the Voldemort, and it is causing suspicion and division to run rampant within the walls of the school. Sirius finds himself intrigued by a Slytherin girl he'd never taken the time to notice before, and a student transfer from Ilvermorny has caught the eye of Remus. Of course James is still battling for Lilly's attention, hoping to prove how much he's matured over the summer months. Undeniable attraction pulls these students together, but house division, many secrets, and a Dark Lord's growing influence threatens to tear them apart. Will they find a way to conquer their differences and pull together to face the coming war, or will the bonds of friendship fail the Marauders once and for all? Please comment!
