"I want her by. My. Side!" The king yelled.
"I- I know, sir, and I'm trying. Your majesty, I promise she will be yours eventually," I reply, stuttering a little in fear at the beginning but regaining my composure by the end of my sentence. He was so... kingly. Power rolled off of him in waves, enticing everyone around him into doing whatever he wanted them to do. He barely ever had to speak, but when he did, it was unforgettable.
"TRY HARDER!" He hollered, shooting from his seat. In seconds, he was in my face, a hand squeezing my throat and lifting me up. He was smaller than me, but he was definitely not small. He was about four inches short to my 6"8. None of this meant anything because he was, by far, the strongest being known to step foot on this big, blue marble.
"Ye- Yes... your majesty!" I manage to choke out. Normally I wouldn't let anyone get this close to me or win like this. These were special circumstances.
At my words, he sets me down. Dusting off my shoulders, he smiles a sick and sadistic smile.
"Good."
Hope Davidson didn't know about her terrible past. She had no idea who her real family is. Who she really is. What happens when she finds out? What happens when her life, as she knows it, is changed forever?
"Are you willing to risk everything?" He asked, leaning his face in closer until our foreheads touched and our lips were barely an inch apart. His blue eyes were so deep and dark today, but not in the menacing way, more so in a lustful longing. My heart was speeding so erratically in my chest that I was afraid that it might just pop right out.
Say yes! My wolf cheered. She was waiting for this ever since we first found his smell. That alluring smell of security. Well my thoughts were really getting muddled.
"I have nothing to lose," I stated bluntly while trying to distract my heart. And then abruptly he backed away, taking my breath away with him. I wasn't sure what to make of the situation. We both stood there standing speechless for a moment. I couldn't help but to feel a disgusted that he would act like he wanted me and then pull away so harshly.
"You selfish son of a cunt,"
