Two hundred years ago, the world changed. Thousands of ruins called dungeons appeared. Within them, monsters appeared that none of humanity's weapons could harm. In the beginning, humans were nearly wiped out before a small percentage of awakened humans grew powerful enough to withstand the monsters and slay them thanks to the discovery of the level system. During a foray into a dungeon rated SSS, a group of A class hunters who let their egos run wild and dive into it. Yet the hunters were quickly overrun. seeing an opportunity to escape, they heavily wound an eternal level 1 hunter and leave him as bait. A good plan.... if it had been any other hunter. After the betrayal that he had suffered, this eternal level 1 hunter had a very powerful ability. One that finally fulfilled its requirements to unlock. Now follow Izuku Midoriya as he ventures on through a world filled with dangers, both apparent and hidden.

In an alternate timeline, the human race found a way to create superpowers. By extracting energy from stars and inserting that energy into humans, 'powers' were created. Powers allowed humans to gain unnatural abilities such as flight, invisibility, super strength or in other words, superpowers. Of course, with the introduction of something so revolutionary, people rose up in the hundreds of thousands in an event known as the Great Rebellion. The insurgents banded together under a single banner and became collectively known as the Shadow, marking the beginning of the Cosmic Wars. Out of the darkness, the Gazers were born. Using what remained of the power technology, the Gazers singlehandedly perished the evil and ended the conflict. However, there was a price to pay. Powers put a toll on the human body and had serious mental and physical repercussions. The solution was to recruit children from the age of 13 to 18 and train them so their bodies would adapt to their powers, eventually becoming immune to all negative side effects. The end of the Cosmic Wars brought forth a new age of peace and prosperity that the world had never seen before. However, the long reign of the Gazers has already begun to crumble, cracks showing up within the very thread of society. Their rule will not last for much longer. The Shadow will rise once again. It took many years of battle for these monsters to integrate into the ecosystem, for better or for worst at the cost of many lives. But these monsters were still a threat that possessed a power humanity wanted. Thus project Zodiac was created. The goal was to infuse an army with the monster's magic. But after only 12 survivors out of 12000 participants, the project was canceled, and the 12 were set loose. But most of the 12 freaks were unsatisfied, leaving them to do something drastic for them all to find out who's "King".
