I fail to hold back the gasp that escapes my lips as my eyes connect with those of the boy who not only saved me but spared my life that one night nearly 3 years ago, on May the 15th 2014.

Ashlize Alexis Addison is the now 13-year old girl who lost her parents on the night of May the 15th 2014.
Three years have now passed from that night. Ashlize has moved on from the tragic night (though it still puzzles her) and will soon be attending high school.
However, all her excitement for the new school year vanishes as she meets the boy whom she met on the night of the attack.
Now, if she had thought that what happened three years ago was hectic, she'll be proved wrong, when she truly learns of her heritage and the secrets her parents had kept.
Ashlize's fate will be twisted and turned in ways she never imagined. Some lives will be at stake, pizza will be eaten, and friendships will be made.
All because of that one Promise.
