Oritochi Clan by stevelol115
2 parts Ongoing Mature
Long ago, the Oritochi Clan was the most substantial family in humanity. They had special abilities that showed what it meant to be human. At the center of their story were two strong forces: Human, representing creation and endless ambition, and Rika, the force of destruction and decay. The conflict between Pikkion the Great, the tyrant and champion of the duality of man, and Doji, a stoic avenger bearing the severing blade, left the clan divided and its descendants doomed to repeat their ancestors' tragedy. Now, generations later, the Oritochi Clan is a shell of its former self-its bloodline cursed through the weight of unresolved hatred and ambition. Two brothers, Kamo and Madoka Oritochi, were born, the latest inheritors to bear their clan's fabled powers. Kamo, blessed-or cursed-by the oppressive brilliance that is Human, and his brother Madoka, filled with the cruel severance of Rika, felt themselves drawn into a circle of rivalry, guilt, and destruction. After a sudden surge of power makes Kamo kill his parents and destroy his clan, he runs from his past, changes his name to Surge Hito, and becomes a cunning anti-hero. With the ability to change timelines and bend reality to gain wealth and control, Surge-on the surface-is consumed by his selfish ways, but deep down, he grapples with guilt over his lost brother and the weight of his inherited power. He changes Fate, breaking reality itself. This makes him both a savior and a destroyer. People see him as a hero, but he secretly uses his role for money and power. Madoka chooses to be alone, accepting his role as the destroyer of connections and the bringer of destruction. Using Rika's power, Madoka wipes out whole timelines, turning away from humanity's pride and showing how pointless their lives are. His strong dislike for Kamo turns into an all-consuming idea, but his hidden love for his brother shows a weakness in his cold nature, making him both frighteningly distant and sadly vulnerable.
The Balance of Life (Avatar: The Way of Water) by Whiskerina
34 parts Ongoing Mature
This story follows the first born child of the Olo'eyktan and Tsahik of the Omaticaya clan. Older sister to Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri, and Tuktirey. She was raised to be the perfect balance of Neytiri and Jake, maybe a little too perfect. Follow her story as she has to give up the only life she has ever known to keep her people safe. --**-- My grandmother notices my frozen state and makes her way to me. "My child..." I turn to look at her, "do not be afraid of life, do not be afraid of fate, be afraid of doing nothing to change it." As the words leave her lips, it sparks a dying fire in my heart. A fire I thought would extinguish along with my title. I smile and pull her into a hug, "I will find my way back to you one day..." I whisper in her ear. "I know, and when you do, you will be a different person. I cannot wait to meet her." With her final words, and a newfound light in my soul, I turn to follow my family down the pathway. I reach the end and mount Kxitx, and with one last look at my clan, I pull my headpiece over my forehead, yip to signal takeoff, and burst from the ground like a sapling reaching to the sun. And we were off. --**-- If you don't like the story, feel free to not read it. Don't waste your energy commenting you don't like something. Just move on. You are a girl who loves the ocean. I mean, who wouldn't. You're the daughter of the Olo'eyktan. However, being sisters with the perfect daughter is not the easiest when you are stubborn and hot headed. ------------------------------ "I love the ocean. I've always liked the blue, so tranquil, peaceful and gliding. And the fear of it." "Because there's nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it's sent away." "No need to fight it, no need to hide it. Now that I've seen what's in your heart." "My girl." ------------------------------ Neteyam x Y/n story. I only own Y/n. Everything else is credit to James Cameron.
