The One That Got Away

The 17 year old Kevin Mason would rather not love again. After tragedy strikes, it leaves him traumatized from the possibilities of loving again. He would rather just get through school, play a good season of football, and hang out with his best friend, Austin. Kevin is the type to seem snobbish because he doesn't believe in anyone trying to befriend him. He would rather observe the room rather than be in the middle of it. He's the reserved character that doesn't really stand out, other than when he's out playing football. Because of that, all the girls want him. Merely for his looks. They can't see how broken he really is, but why?

18 year old Renee Davis is full of life. Top of her class, plenty of friends, and not to mention plenty of suitors. Renee is the complete opposite of Kevin, where Renee is the type to take life head on versus the more cautious Kevin. Renee has had many boyfriends but none of them seem to be 'the one' for her. She keeps on searching covertly, not wanting everyone to know because that would just strike a competition between the guys that wants to be with her. All she wants is to be in a meaningful relationship with someone she can truly care about. Someone that she will admire, not only on the outside, but also his character.
